Scott Groom

Scott Groom is currently an advisor at Divurgent. Scott has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Prior to their current position, they served as Senior Vice President at Huntington Hospital from January 2018 to December 2021. In this role, they provided leadership for technology services, pop health-analytics, and operational performance excellence.

From January 2011 to December 2018, they were the Network Vice President at Bassett Healthcare Network. In this role, they expanded their responsibility from enterprise IT, analytics, privacy/compliance, and physician services/coding, to include startup of CIN activities including health insurance/value-based PHM programs, regional network partnership integration, and operational performance excellence/PMO.

Prior to that, they served as Vice President of Risk Adjustment/Population Heath at Inovalon from January 2009 to December 2010.

Scott Groom earned their Bachelor's degree from Virginia Tech in Planning & Public Administration with a focus on Health Policy, Architecture, and EE Coursework. Scott then completed their MHA/MBA at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Healthcare and Business Administration. Currently, they are completing a Fellowship/Residency in Healthcare Leadership at the Office of the President & CEO of UVAMC through the University of Virginia.
