Derral Larance

Derral Larance is a skilled directional driller with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as Directional Driller V at Dixon Directional since June 2021, Derral specializes in utilizing positive displacement mud motors and Orbit Powerdrive Rotary Steerable for well drilling. Prior experience includes a role as Directional Drilling Field Engineer III-Nextgen at Weatherford, where Derral successfully managed drilling processes for unconventional wells in several basins. Additional experience encompasses roles as an Independent Contractor, Sales Associate at Academy Sports + Outdoors, Manufacturing/Production Technician & Drafter at Allied Oilfield, and Shop Hand/Mechanic at Sutherland Oilfield Sales. Derral holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech University, earned between 2012 and 2016.
