Quan Zhou has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Quan has been working at Dizal Pharma since 2017 as a Project Leader/Senior Investigator I. In this role, they have led several discovery projects and been involved in various aspects of the drug development process. Prior to that, they worked as an Invited Industry Blogger for the American Chemical Society, where they covered the pharmaceutical industry in China. Before that, they were a Project Leader at Alsking and a Scientist at the same company. At Alsking, they led a small molecule oncology discovery project and was one of the key members in establishing a new research platform. Quan also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at The Scripps Research Institute, where they developed bispecific antibodies for targeting cancer stem cells. Additionally, they had a summer internship at GlaxoSmithKline and gained research experience as a Research Assistant at Brandeis University, where they also served as a Teaching Assistant. During their time at Brandeis University, they developed practical syntheses of natural products, gained experience in organic compound synthesis and characterization, and taught general and organic chemistry labs.
Quan Zhou completed a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry at Brandeis University from 2006 to 2011. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Nanjing University, where they studied from 2002 to 2006.
