Ruba Sarris-Sawaya

Ruba Sarris-Sawaya was appointed Vice President of Clinical Affairs in October 2019. In this role, Ruba reports directly to Chief Executive Officer Brady R. Shirley and is responsible for leading DJO’s clinical affairs activities around the world. Before joining DJO, Ruba held global leadership positions at Medtronic as Senior Program Manager for their Neurosurgery Restorative Therapy Group and Senior Manager of Clinical Affairs for Surgical Technologies. Prior to Medtronic, Ruba was the Director of Clinical Affairs and the Director of Government Affairs, Outcomes Research, Reimbursement and Evaluation (GCORE) at Orthofix. Ruba has also held numerous commercial roles as well as research positions earlier in her career. Ruba earned her master’s degree in public health focused on epidemiology from the University of Texas’ Houston School of Public Health and her bachelor’s degree in biology from Austin College.
