Søren Halbye has extensive work experience in various executive roles within the agriculture and biotech industry. Søren began their career at Beiersdorf, where they served as a Commercial Manager. Søren then joined Novozymes A/S as a Global Business Manager, focusing on enzyme production and industrial biotechnology. After that, Halbye joined DLF A/S, the world's largest seed company, where they held roles including Chief Commercial Officer and eventually Group CEO. In addition to their tenure at DLF, Halbye has also served in leadership positions at Protein- og Oliefabrikken Scanola A/S, Jensen Seeds A/S, Danespo A/S, and DLF Beet Seed. Søren is currently the Vice Chairman of the Board at Protein- og Oliefabrikken Scanola A/S and Vice Chairman of the Board at Danespo A/S. Halbye also served as a General Member of the Board at BioRefine Denmark A/S. Overall, they have a wealth of experience in the agriculture and biotech sectors, with a focus on seed production, sales, and marketing.

Søren Halbye received their education from various institutions. In 1991, they earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in International Business from Aarhus University. From 1998 to 1999, they pursued a Master's degree in Organizational Leadership at Copenhagen Business School. In 2015, Søren attended INSEAD, where they focused on Finance, General. In 2022, they briefly studied at IMD, but it is unclear if they obtained a degree or pursued a specific field of study during this period.
