Farhad Foroughi

Farhad Foroughi is a seasoned information security and risk leader with over 15 years of global experience in cybersecurity strategy, compliance, and resilience across fintech and cross-border payments. Currently, Farhad serves as the Global Head of Information Security & IT at AZA, where they lead initiatives to mitigate cybersecurity risks and align security practices with business operations. Previously, Farhad held leadership positions, including VP of Information Security at AZA Finance and Head of Information Security at AWTG Ltd, where they achieved significant compliance milestones such as ISO 27001 certification and GDPR compliance. Farhad has also co-founded Yasa Data Processing and Communication Co., developing complex information security management systems for various industries. They are currently pursuing a PhD in Informatics at Universität Rostock.
