Dr. Giancarlo Mangone

Dr. Giancarlo Mangone is a highly experienced professional in strategic planning and implementation, currently serving as the Senior International Planning Leader at DLR Group since July 2023. With a diverse portfolio, Dr. Mangone has led significant projects across various sectors, including sustainability, urban planning, and economic development, notably during a tenure as Head of Strategic Master Planning at ADNOC Group, where key projects included the IRAMP and Circular Economy Implementation Strategy. Previous roles include Senior Consultant at the United Nations ESCAP, Principal at Wicked Solutions, and senior positions at BuroHappold Engineering and William McDonough + Partners, among others. Dr. Mangone holds a PhD in Sustainable, Circular, Nature Integrated Cities from Delft University of Technology, a Master's in Architecture from the University of Virginia, and a Bachelor's in Architecture from the University of Florida College of Design, Construction and Planning.
