Daniel Leidner serves as the Head of the Fault-Tolerant Autonomy Architectures Group, FUTURO Young Investigator Group, and Rolin' Justin Team at the German Aerospace Center (DLR), where contributions include pioneering work with the humanoid robot Rollin' Justin for AI-based manipulation research, and co-investigating the SUPVIS Justin experiment, which focuses on planetary service robot intelligence. In addition to these leadership roles, Daniel Leidner has conducted a PhD in Artificial Intelligence and held a position as a Research Associate where research was centered on knowledge-based hybrid reasoning and autonomous compliant manipulation. Recently, Daniel Leidner served as a Consultant for the AI-enabled Robotics Strategy of the German Government. Academic qualifications include a Dr.-Ing. in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Bremen, an M.Sc. in Information Technology, and a Dipl.-Ing. in Computer Engineering from Hochschule Mannheim.
