Gonzalo Belcredi is a Research Engineer at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) since January 2024, focusing on transmission protocols and signal processing for next-generation satellite communications using Software Defined Radio (SDR). Prior to this role, Gonzalo served as a Research and Teaching Assistant at Universidad de la República from February 2017 to January 2024, participating in courses on Wireless Communications and Electrical Engineering, and as an Entry Level Assistant, contributing to teaching and software development for GNU Radio. Gonzalo has experience as a Comms Signal Processing Engineer at Satellogic, designing and validating SDR-based RF payloads and benchmarking GNSS receivers. Prior work includes serving as an Embedded Software Engineer at Blizzio, developing software for smart energy systems. Gonzalo holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering in Telecommunications Engineering from Universidad de la República.
