Matthias Sperl

Matthias Sperl is a Professor at the University of Cologne, specializing in the physics of granular matter. They earned a Diploma in Physics from the Technical University of Munich and completed a PhD focusing on glasses. With a diverse research background that includes postdoctoral positions and guest research roles at prestigious institutions, Matthias has contributed to experiments in low and zero gravity and has engaged in significant research on disordered systems, fluid, and solid states. Currently, they lead a group at the German Aerospace Center (DLR).
