Peter Gege

Head Of Group "sensor Characterisation And Concepts" at German Aerospace Center (DLR)

Peter Gege has been with DLR since 1991, currently serving as the Head of Group "Sensor Characterisation and Concepts" since 2005. In this role, Peter oversees the operation and calibration of hyperspectral airborne sensors and field spectrometers, conducts airborne campaigns, and manages a laboratory dedicated to the characterisation of these instruments. Peter also focuses on developing methods for analyzing spectral measurements from various aquatic environments. Prior to this, Peter held the position of Head of Group "Inland Waters" and worked as a research scientist at the Institute of Optoelectronics. Peter holds a diploma in Physics from the Technical University of Munich and a Dr. rer. nat. in Natural Sciences from the University of Hamburg.
