Tim Draegen has held a number of positions in the tech industry since 2004. Tim started their career as a Standards Engineer and Software Engineer at IronPort Systems (Cisco). Tim then moved on to become a Senior Software Engineer at Nominum in 2009. In the same year, they co-founded Agari and served as the Director of Technical Strategy. In 2011, they became the Chair of the Email Authentication Committee at the Online Trust Alliance. In 2013, they joined Message Bus as the VP of Marketing. In 2014, they became the Chair of the DMARC Working Group at the IETF. Tim also founded dmarcian, inc. and served as the CEO until 2020. Since then, they have been the Chief Technology Officer and Founder of Special Projects at dmarcian. Additionally, they are a Board Member and Marketing/Comms Chair for the US Bridge Chapter of the Entrepreneurs' Organization.

Tim Draegen attended the University of California, Santa Cruz from 1994 to 1999.
