Joe DeVito

Joe’s career in the property & casualty insurance industry spans more than 4 decades including ten years serving as President and Chief Operating Officer and six years as Chief Executive Officer at Baldwin and Lyons, Inc. where he and his team developed innovative risk solutions for trucking customers, and produced over $1B in total value for shareholders, an average annual compound rate of return of 12%.

Joe (along with Gary Miller and Pat Corydon) envisioned a different approach to insurance – one focused on client relationships, ease of doing business, and pursuit of transformational innovation. DMC Insurance was founded on these principles and joined the Fairfax Financial Group, with whom the team has a long partnership and history, benefiting from its significant strength in financial resources, value-based management and community service.
