Lauren Hannula

Lauren Hannula has a wealth of experience in writing and editing. Lauren began their career in 2007 as a Writing Center Tutor at Western Michigan University. In 2010, they became a Freelance Writer for Leaf Group and a Writing Consultant at Oakland University. Lauren then joined I DRIVE SAFELY in 2011 as a Senior Marketing Copyeditor, where they managed an in-house editorial team, wrote and edited creative content, and implemented SEO link building and strategy. In 2013, they became the Content Manager at DMV.ORG, where they collaborated across departments to prioritize, scope, execute, and track content-related needs. In 2019, they joined WhistleOut as an Editorial Lead and Senior Digital Content Writer, where they helped steer a team of writers and editors to provide up-to-date wireless and telco information for U.S. and international audiences. Lauren also joined Neil Patel Digital as a Content Writer in 2019.

Lauren Hannula obtained a MA in English from Oakland University between 2009 and 2011 and a BA magna cum laude in English and Communication from Western Michigan University between 2004 and 2008. Lauren also obtained an Emotional Intelligence (EQ) Certification Level 2 from TalentSmart in July 2017, an Emotional Intelligence (EQ) Certification Level 1 from TalentSmart in July 2015, and a Leadership for Managers Certification from Dale Carnegie in December 2014.
