Ashley Scholz has work experience spanning several companies and roles. In 2014 and 2015, they worked as an INTO Oregon State Conversation Assistant at Oregon State University, where they assisted English language instructors and edited student papers. In 2016, they were a Student Worker at the University of Oregon, supporting chefs and helping with cooking, cleaning, and organizational tasks. From 2017 to 2018, they served as a Laboratory Teaching Assistant at the University of Oregon.
In 2019, Ashley joined Abcam as a Laboratory Technician, where they maintained lab organization, performed instrument maintenance, and implemented a Kanban inventory system. Ashley also handled bulk aliquoting of biological samples and developed SOPs for sample handling. Ashley then transitioned to the role of Research Associate at Abcam from 2020 to 2021.
In 2021, they joined hVIVO as a Research Assistant, and their responsibilities there lasted until 2022. Currently, Ashley is working at DNA Electronics (DNAe) as an Associate Scientist, contributing to the manufacturing and development of next-generation DNA sequencing platforms. Ashley designs and conducts surface chemistry experiments and presents results in meetings.

Ashley Scholz attended Corvallis High School from 2011 to 2013 but did not earn a degree or specialize in any field of study during this time. Ashley then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry at the University of Oregon from 2015 to 2018.
