Maria M. Acero has extensive experience in research and development, currently serving as R&D Team Lead for the Annual Product Stability Program at DNA Genotek since June 2013, where responsibilities include designing scientific experiments, resource planning, budgeting, and result communication. Previous roles at DNA Genotek span from Research Associate to Validations Engineering, showcasing expertise in experimental design, data analysis, and quality assurance. Maria's early career includes research assistant positions at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada and the University of Ottawa, contributing significantly to genetic research projects. Maria holds a Master of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Science in Biology & Biotechnology from Carleton University, complemented by a Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.
