Aled Jones is a seasoned bioinformatician with extensive experience in clinical bioinformatics and cloud technology. Currently serving as a Principal Cloud Specialist in Customer Success at DNAnexus since December 2023, Aled previously held the position of Deputy Operations Lead for Clinical Bioinformatics at Viapath from April 2020 to December 2023. Aled's career includes roles as a Clinical Bioinformatician at Genetics Laboratories, Viapath, and as a Trainee Clinical Bioinformatician at Guys and St Thomas NHS Trust, where participation in the NHS Scientist Training Program was completed. Aled also contributed as a Bioinformatics Coordinator for TReND in Africa and gained foundational experience as a Technologist at Cytogenetics, St Marys Hospital, and a Laboratory Analyst at Orchid Cellmark. Aled holds a Master's Degree in Clinical Bioinformatics from The University of Manchester, a Master of Science in Medical Genetics from Newcastle University, and a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from Loughborough University.
