Dana Olson

Global Solar Segment Leader at DNV GL

Dana Olson currently serves as the Global Solar Segment Leader at DNV, a position held since October 2018. Prior to this role, Dana Olson worked at the U.S. Department of Energy from March 2015 to October 2018, serving as Technology Manager for the Solar Energy Technologies Office, focusing on next-generation photovoltaic cell and module technologies, as well as developing funding opportunities through the DOE SunShot Initiative. Additional experience includes serving as a Science, Engineering and Technology Advisor at the DOE SunShot Initiative, and holding roles as Senior Scientist at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and Intelligence Community Postdoctoral Fellow at Sandia National Laboratories. Dana Olson's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Materials Science from the Colorado School of Mines, an MS in Materials Science from Penn State University, and a BA in Chemistry from Carleton College.
