Trond Hodne has extensive experience in the maritime sector, currently serving as Director of Business Development for the Business Area Maritime at DNV GL since July 1994. Throughout this tenure, Trond has held various significant positions, including Head of Marketing and Business Development and Regional Manager for Japan, where responsibilities included country management and marketing initiatives. Trond also served as Head of the Maritime Service Centre in Japan, overseeing approval and consulting services in hydrodynamics and stability. Earlier career roles include Approval Engineer in DNV Korea and Senior Engineer in Maritime Technical Consulting. Prior to DNV GL, Trond worked at Veritec as an Engineer focusing on offshore structures. Academic qualifications include an MSc in Ocean Engineering from Texas A&M University and an Engineering degree in Naval Architecture from Western Norway University of Applied Sciences.
