G. Matthew Kennedy has a diverse work experience spanning over 27 years. G. Matthew began their career in the U.S Navy as a Nuclear Engineering Officer, serving from 1993 to 1998. Following this, they worked at Doble Engineering Company, where they held various roles including Application and Product Engineering from 1998 to 2000. G. Matthew then joined Teradyne as a Sr.Application Engineer in 2000 and later moved to Bloomy Controls as an Engineering Manager in the same year. In 2003, they returned to Doble Engineering Company and worked as a Principal Engineer until 2007. From 2007 to 2019, they held multiple positions in Doble Engineering Company, including Senior Principal Engineer, PD Product Manager, Solutions Manager: Transformer Diagnostics, Solutions Director: Enterprise and Data Technology, and Senior Director, Solutions & Product Management. G. Matthew'sresponsibilities involved overall product life cycle management, utility protection test, high voltage apparatus test, utility IoT, and online monitors.

G. Matthew Kennedy pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) from UC Santa Barbara, attending from 1989 to 1993. Following this, in 1993 they enrolled in the Department of Energy's Nuclear Power School and acquired a Post-Graduate degree in Nuclear Engineering, which they completed in 1994.

In 1998, Kennedy joined the University of Idaho for post-graduate studies in Electrical Power, without completing a specific degree. G. Matthew returned to academic pursuits with a certificate in "A Systems Approach to Product Service and Design" from Cornell University in 2011.

Kennedy is currently matriculating in MIT Professional Education's Chief Product Officer program and is expected to complete the degree in 2023. Additionally, they obtained a certification in "Designing High-Impact Solutions with MITdesignX" from MIT Professional Education in July 2023. The certificate qualifies Kennedy in the field of Business Administration and Management, General.
