John Johnson

John D. Johnson is an accomplished professional in cybersecurity and technology, currently serving as Founder, CEO, and CISO of Aligned Security since April 2022, providing virtual CISO services to small and medium-sized clients across various industries. As Founder and President of the Docent Institute, John focuses on research, education, and public policy for emerging technologies within a non-profit framework. Additional roles include advisory positions with MedBlox, Fullstack Academy, vArmour, and serving as a Cybersecurity Senior Manager at Campbell Soup Company, where John led teams in security and risk management. John’s extensive academic background includes a Ph.D. in Nuclear Physics from The University of Texas at Austin and multiple executive education credentials from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, in addition to broader teaching experience in information assurance at Excelsior College.
