Amit Arora

Amit Arora has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Amit most recently worked at DocHQ as their Chief Commercial Officer, starting in April 2023. Prior to this, Amit held the role of Sales Director & Head IPMI at Global Benefits Group (GBG) from January 2019 to April 2023. At GBG, Amit led the company's entry into the International Private Medical Insurance (IPMI) space in the UK, EMEA, and Asia. Before that, Amit worked as a Strategy and Business Consultant as a Self-Employed individual from July 2018 to December 2018, where they built out GBG's IPMI strategy in various regions.

Amit also gained experience at Bupa Global, where they served as the Director, Global Direct Sales from March 2015 to March 2018. At Bupa Global, they catered to 1.5 million international private medical insurance (IPMI) customers worldwide. Prior to that, Amit was the Senior Vice President, Head of Direct Sales & Corporate Business at Max Bupa from May 2009 to February 2015. During this time, they played a pivotal role in launching the Direct Sales business at Max Bupa, the third specialist health insurance company launched in India.

Before their role at Max Bupa, Amit worked at Citi in various positions. From June 2007 to April 2009, they held the position of Vice President & Area Director, managing Citibank's Corporate Salary Account business for the North and East regions. Amit also held the role of Assistant Vice President & Head-Suvidha from July 2005 to May 2007, managing the Corporate salary account business for the Chennai region. Furthermore, Amit started as a Sales Manager at Citi's Personal Loans business in January 2003 and eventually became the Regional Sales Manager for North India in October 2004.

Amit Arora began their career at GE Countrywide, where they held the roles of Regional Sales Head from December 2001 to October 2002, establishing the acquisition network for GE's Two-wheeler and consumer durables portfolio in Rajasthan, India. Prior to this, they served as a Territory Manager from November 1999 to December 2001, developing distribution for 2-wheeler, consumer durable, and auto finance in Delhi and NCR.

Overall, Amit Arora has gained significant experience in various leadership and strategic roles across insurance, healthcare, banking, and finance sectors throughout their career.

Amit Arora obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in General Management and Marketing from the New Delhi Institute of Management between 1997 and 1999. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Delhi University, which they attended from 1994 to 1997. Amit's earlier education includes attending Springdales School in Delhi from 1982 to 1994, where they studied Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics under the CBSE curriculum.
