Michael Irwin

Michael Irwin is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in software development and education. Currently serving as Senior Manager, Developer Relations at Docker, Inc. since March 2022, Michael helps lead the Developer Relations team and engages with a community of over 14 million developers. In parallel, Michael is an Adjunct Instructor at Virginia Tech, teaching various courses on Docker containerization and software design, while also contributing as a Platform Architect. Michael has previously held roles such as Engineering Manager, Software Developer, and Information Specialist II at Virginia Tech, where significant projects included developing web applications and architecting platforms to enhance development efficiency.
