Sy Fahimi

Sy Fahimi has a comprehensive work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Sy is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Getaround, where they lead all commercial, operational, and customer-related functions. Prior to this, they served as the Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of DocSpera, a surgical coordination solution company.

Sy Fahimi also has experience as an Advisor, Consultant, and Occasional Investor in the startup consulting field. At Symphony RetailAI, they were the SVP Products, responsible for delivering AI-powered retail marketing and customer analytics platform to leading retailers. Sy also served as an Operating Partner and Executive in Resident at Symphony Technology Group, where they led business transformation and operational excellence across portfolio companies.

Earlier in their career, Sy Fahimi held various positions at Yahoo!, including VP of Global Advertising Products, VP of Strategy & Business Transformation, and they also played a pivotal role in Yahoo's B2B ecosystem and marketplace for premium publishers and advertisers. Sy was the CEO of Adteractive, an internet advertising lead generation company, and achieved significant growth and a successful merger.

Prior to that, Sy Fahimi worked at Intuit, where they held the position of Org & Process Excellence/Interim COO, QuickBooks Software, responsible for day-to-day operations and quality improvement. Sy also worked at Sun Microsystems as the Sales Ops Leader and Sr. Director of Quality, implementing sales operations and leading a company-wide Six Sigma Quality program.

In their earlier role at GE Capital, Sy Fahimi was the VP of Risk Management and VP of Quality, implementing robust risk management practices and leading the quality program. Sy achieved significant improvements and facilitated business integration.

Throughout their career, Sy Fahimi has demonstrated expertise in strategy, business transformation, operational excellence, and product management across various industries.

Sy Fahimi completed a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from UCLA Anderson School of Management between 1998 and 2000. Prior to that, Fahimi obtained a Bachelor's degree in both Engineering and Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, studying between 1988 and 1993. Additionally, Fahimi holds certifications as a Six Sigma Black Belt and Master Black Belt from Six Sigma, which were obtained in 1997.
