Vikas Kapoor has a diverse work experience in the healthcare field. Vikas started at HMP Woodhill as a Medical Officer in 2004 and worked there until 2005. Vikas then joined Kingswood Surgery as a GP Partner in 2006, where they provided primary care services and had special interests in occupational medicine, musculoskeletal medicine, and COPD. Vikas worked at Kingswood Surgery for a decade until 2016. In 2016, they started working as a Sessional GP at NHS until 2021. During this time, they also joined Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust as an Occupational Health Physician from 2019 to 2020. Currently, Vikas Kapoor is working at DOCTORnow, where they were previously a General Practitioner and is currently serving as an Associate Director.
Vikas Kapoor earned a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) degree from the University of Birmingham between 1993 and 1998. In 2017 and 2018, they attended Queen Mary University of London to pursue a Diploma in Clinical Dermatology. In 2012, they obtained a Certificate in COPD management from The Open University. Earlier, from 2007 to 2009, they studied at the Faculty of Occupational Medicine and acquired a Diploma in Occupational Medicine. Finally, between 2003 and 2005, they obtained the Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners from the Royal College of General Practitioners.

Established in 2003, DOCTORnow is a private GP practice offering a wide range of independent primary care services, including optional 24 hour cover. We are a team of private primary healthcare professionals dedicated to providing exceptional service and the highest levels of medical care and attention to both individual patients and corporate clients. DOCTORnow offers its patients personal attention, providing 20 or 30 minute appointments that encourage thorough discussion of patients’ medical concerns and issues. Our experienced GPs and Nurses work with our patients providing detailed advice and information which empowers the patient to make informed decisions regarding their treatment. Patients can use DOCTORnow alongside their NHS GP surgery, and with patient’s consent, DOCTORnow will regularly liaise with local NHS GPs, many of whom refer patients to us for additional services not widely available to all on the NHS. Services include: - VIP Membership options – including Family Membership and 24 hour Membership - Non-Member appointments available - Health checks & medicals - MASTA Travel clinic for travel vaccinations, anti-malarials and travel health products - Health vaccinations, e.g. Meningitis B, Chickenpox, Shingles, Gardasil (also for boys) - Seasonal flu vaccinations - Corporate GP & Nurse services including on-site surgeries Our wide range of primary care services are available to Members via our different membership options. VIP24 Membership includes access to a GP 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Non-Members are also able to access the majority of our services, Monday to Saturday during our extended surgery opening hours.
