Ilya Mayo has worked in the legal field since 2008. Ilya began their career as an intern and assistant lawyer at AK Reeves and Associates, where they worked on a high-profile criminal defamation case. In the same year, they began working as an assistant to Supreme Court Justice John Sulan, where they conducted research on various Supreme Court cases. In 2010, they co-founded Dial-A-Doctor Australia and built the business from the ground up. Ilya successfully sold the company to private equity in 2018. In the same year, they co-founded Doctoroo, a house call service that focuses on increasing access to quality healthcare and reducing the load on ERs.
Ilya Mayo attended Marryatville High School before obtaining a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) with Honours from the University of Adelaide in 2008.
