Ali Shehata

Founding Medical Partner at Doctorpedia

Dr. Shehata completed his undergraduate education at the University of Central Florida with a B.Sc. in Molecular Biology before continuing on to the Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine where he received his DO degree. From there, he completed an internship in Emergency Medicine at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, OH before completing his residency at Memorial Hermann SW Hospital in Houston, TX.

Dr. Shehata worked through various emergency departments in SC, GA and MN for 12 years before accepting an Emergency Medicine Consultant post at the prestigious King Faisal Hospital in Saudi Arabia which has consistently ranked as one of the best hospitals in the Middle East. He worked in that region for a total of nine years, including a one-year assignment as the Chairman of the Emergency Medicine Department. One of his main goals for pursuing these assignments was to share the cutting edge medical knowledge he gained in the US with young doctors there to uplift the level of medical care available in the region. He was honored to serve eight of those nine years as a faculty member of the EM residency training program to further his interest in teaching medicine. After working over twenty years in Emergency Medicine, he returned to his primary care roots about two years ago by taking a position in geriatric care back home in the United States. Dr. Shehata is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Shehata is also the recipient of numerous awards which focus on his passions of education and exceptional patient care, being recognized several years in a row by residents as the Best Residency Faculty and by his hospital colleagues as the Best Emergency Medicine physician in the King Faisal Hospital network. Since returning to the US, he has also been selected as one of Nevada’s Top Doctors.
