Steve Garber

Dr. Steve Garber attended UCSB, and graduated from UCLA with honors in the biological sciences. He then attended medical school at UC Irvine, earning an MD. He did a one year internship in Internal Medicine at Kaiser Sunset, and then proceeded to complete his anesthesia residency at UC Irvine. He followed residency with a one year Obstetric Anesthesia Fellowship at UC Irvine/Long Beach Memorial. He entered private practice, and was instrumental in establishing the first LDRP (labor/delivery/recovery/post partum), unit in Orange County CA, at Saddleback Hospital. He continued to bring new technology/techniques to the LDRP unit, focusing on improving quality and safety in the labor and delivery arena. He was the lead in helping obtain the SOAP Center of Excellence designation for Saddleback Medical Center and was also Physician of the Month, May 2019. Dr. Garber is a passionate and enthusiastic proponent for seeking out new and innovative products and practices that improve the labor and delivery experience.
