Douglas Perednia has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. In 1988, they started as an Assistance Professor at the University of Arizona, where they worked until 1991. From 1991 to 1998, they served as an Associate Professor of Dermatology and Medical Informatics at Oregon Health and Sciences University. In 1995, they founded the Telemedicine Research Center and served as its President until 2000. Douglas also founded the Association of Telehealth Service Providers in 1996 and held the role of President until 2004. From 2000 to 2007, Perednia was the Founder and CEO of Kietra Corporation, a company that developed a paper-to-electronic-data business model for healthcare providers. In 2008, they became the Managing Partner of Practical Healthcare Technologies, LLC, where they worked until 2014. During this time, they also authored the book "Overhauling America's Healthcare Machine: Stop the Bleeding and Save Trillions." From 2012 to 2017, Perednia worked as the VP of Business Development and Nutrition Applications at Asta Ltd, a biotechnology company. In 2014, they became the President of Permetia Envirotech, Inc, overseeing food waste recycling and organic substrate conversion. Finally, in 2018, they founded DoCurious, Inc. and currently serves as its Founder and President, dedicated to improving well-being and strengthening communities through challenging real-life activities.

Douglas Perednia's education history is as follows:

From 1975 to 1979, they attended Swarthmore College and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.

From 1980 to 1984, they attended Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and obtained a Medical Doctor (MD) degree in Internal Medicine.

Between 1985 and 1988, they pursued a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson.

From 1991 to 1995, they completed a residency in Dermatology at Oregon Health & Science University.
