• Doherty Ornamental Iron, Inc. was established in 1959 as a fabricator of porch, balcony and pool railings by James Doherty. • By the early 1970’s responding to the demands of our clients, the company started performing structural steel fabrication and erection in addition to miscellaneous steel. • Subsequently Doherty Ornamental Iron, Inc. changed its name to Doherty Steel, Inc. in 2006. • Today one of James Doherty’s sons, Dennis Doherty, is President along with third-generation Chance Doherty as Vice President. • Doherty Steel is an AISC certified structural and miscellaneous steel fabricator and erector. • Located conveniently in Paola, KS Doherty Steel services clients in Kansas, Missouri, Colorado, Iowa, Oklahoma and Nebraska. • Our business is growing; our brand is growing as we are being sought after by nationally recognized General Contractors.
