Braden Aasand

Braden Aasand has 8 years of experience in the field of embedded firmware engineering. Braden began their career in 2014 at Emerson Automation Solutions where they held the roles of Lead Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer, Liquid/Combustion Group, Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer, Liquid/Combustion Group, Senior Embedded Firmware Test Engineer, Pressure/Temperature Group, Project Embedded Firmware Test Engineer, Pressure/Temperature Group, and Embedded Firmware Test Engineer, Pressure/Temperature Group. In their roles, they applied project-specific software development processes, managed software requirements activities, performed object oriented and non-object oriented design and coding of real-time embedded software, created detailed test designs and plans, led and implemented complex projects with moderate technical risk, used object oriented programming design patterns and best practices to deliver robust code, and created automated and manual tests using C# to verify development firmware of Fieldbus/HART/PROFIBUS pressure and temperature transmitters. In 2022, Braden began working for Dojo Five: Modern Embedded Development as a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer.

Braden Aasand obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from North Dakota State University from 2009 to 2014. Braden then went on to obtain a Master's degree in Embedded Systems and Internet of Things (IoT) from the University of St. Thomas from 2018 to 2022. In September 2021, they obtained an Amateur Radio Operator certification from the Federal Communications Commission.
