Dan Myers has a long and varied work experience. Dan began their career in 1982 as a Systems Analyst and Consultant for Steven's Computer Center. In 1984, they moved to AccuWeather as a Computer Programmer, where they built specialty systems for clients. In 1987, they opened Local Motion Entertainment, Central Pennsylvania's leading Disc Jockey and Entertainment company. In 1992, they became the CEO and Publisher of StateCollege.com, offering search engine optimization and search engine marketing services, social media consulting, and online reputation management. In 2000, they became the CEO of Getwireless.net, an Internet Service Provider (ISP) for central Pennsylvania. In 2001, they became the Chief Executive Officer of DojoNetworks, focusing on delivering high quality Internet as an amenity to Multi-Dwelling housing. In 2011, they became the Publisher of OnwardState.com, an independent, alternative Penn State blog. Finally, in 2012, they became the CEO of CityPortals, Inc, the first Digital Media system built from the ground up to generate revenue.

Dan Myers attended Penn State University from 1984 to 1991, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
