Calvin-Khang Ta

Calvin-Khang Ta is a Senior Researcher at Dolby Laboratories, where research focuses on next-generation neural video codecs. Previously, as a Research Intern, Calvin-Khang developed a novel method that improved deep learning-based video compression models by 3% over internal baselines. At the University of California, Riverside, Calvin-Khang has served as a Graduate Student Research Assistant, where projects included developing automated image analysis pipelines and a self-supervised image enhancement algorithm, alongside generative adversarial attacks for multi-object classifiers. Calvin-Khang has experience as a Teaching Assistant in Algorithms and Data Structures and has interned as a Computer Vision Research Intern at Vimaan and an SDE Intern at Amazon, contributing to projects in image de-blurring and UI/UX initiatives respectively. Education includes a Doctor of Philosophy and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of California, Riverside.
