James Reed

Structures Manager at Dominion Constructors Ltd.

James Reed is the Structures Manager at Dominion Constructors Ltd. James has been with the company for eight years, during which time they have held the positions of Dominion Structures Manager, Project Director, Project Manager, Project Manager, Project Manager, and PT Manager / Site Manager. James was awarded the NZIOB (BCITO) Young Achieaver Awards 2017 - Excelence Award for their work on the Waiparuru Hall – University of Auckland Student Accommodation Project.

Reed began their career with Dominion Constructors Ltd as a Project Manager. James was quickly promoted to Project Director, and then to Structures Manager. In their current role, they are responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s structures division, including project management, quality assurance, safety, and budgeting.

Reed has played a key role in several of Dominion Constructors Ltd’s most successful projects, including the Waiparuru Hall – University of Auckland Student Accommodation Project, the Summerset APT Building, and the New retirement building for Summerset. James is currently overseeing the construction of the B183 Extension works.

Reed is a highly experienced and respected construction professional. James is a member of the NZIOB and holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Auckland.

James Reed has a Bachelor of Construction Management from Unitec Institute of Technology, a Diploma of Construction Management from Unitec Institute of Technology, and an Education from Saint Kentigern College.
