Karl Schmidt has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Karl began their career in 2005 at CVS Pharmacy, where they served as a Supervisor for three years. In 2008, they joined LifeStar Response as an HR Specialist, a role they held for three years. Karl then moved to Freestate Ambulance LLC in 2011, where they served as an Operations Manager until 2015. In the same year, they joined Calloway Labs as a Field Operations Manager before transitioning to their current role as a Regional Field Operations Director at Dominion Diagnostics.

Karl Schmidt attended Old Mill Senior High from 2002 to 2006, although no degree or field of study is specified. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Specialist certification from Miemss in January 2004. In 2019, they obtained the ITIL Foundation Level certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice and also completed the Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification from the Management and Strategy Institute. Lastly, in 2020, Karl earned the CompTIA A+ ce Certification from CompTIA, and in 2022, they obtained the Google Data Analytics Certificate from Coursera.
