Alireza Rouhani is an experienced engineer currently employed at Dominion Energy since May 2017, where responsibilities include conducting Generation Interconnection Studies and working with Distributed Energy Resource Management Systems (DERMS). Rouhani has held various positions focused on Electric Transmission System Protection Engineering and System Operations Engineering, as well as contractor roles involving EMS network applications. Significant contributions include the design and implementation of advanced network applications, notably a line parameter estimator utilizing l1 minimization techniques and synchrophasors. Additionally, Alireza Rouhani serves as Vice Chairman of the IEEE Task Force on Power System Dynamic State and Parameter Estimation since July 2017.
