Substation Design Engineer II at Dominion Energy

Arnold Sullivan is an experienced electrical and electronics engineer with a diverse background in energy management systems and substation design. Since July 2017, Arnold has been employed at Dominion Energy as a Substation Design Engineer II and Energy Management Systems Engineer, focusing on the development and maintenance of the EMS/SCADA system for the transmission grid. Concurrently, Arnold has served as a Power Generation Intern at Gainesville Regional Utilities, collaborating on installation plans for magnetically coupled fan drive motors. With a strong academic foundation from the University of Florida, Arnold has worked as a Research Assistant on innovative projects involving demand dispatch capable refrigerators and Smart Grid technologies. Previous internships at companies such as Xcel Energy and Georgia Power Company further enhanced Arnold's expertise in battery engineering and protection and control systems. Arnold holds a Bachelor of Science and an Engineer's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Florida.
