John Blanshard

John Blanshard is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the real estate and student housing sectors. Currently serving as the Director of PBSA at Dominus since September 2025, John previously held the position of Director of Asset Management for Student Housing (UK) at Mapletree from March 2023 to August 2025. Prior to that, John was the Director of Operations at Grainger PLC and enjoyed a significant tenure at Unite Students from August 2010 to February 2021, where roles included Chief Customer Officer and Operations Director for various regions. Additionally, John founded a Residential Property Business from 2003 to 2009 and served as Chairman of the Trustees and Director at Bethshan Charitable Trust during the same period. Early career achievements include pivotal roles at Aldi UK from January 1992 to June 2002, culminating as Managing Director. John holds a BSc (ARCS) Honours degree in Biochemistry from Imperial College London and attended Loughborough Grammar School.
