Heather Tietz

Heather Tietz has a diverse and extensive work experience in various leadership roles related to information protection, security, and risk management. Heather currently serves as the Director of Global Data Privacy at Donaldson since 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Cargill from 2017 to 2020 as a Security and Risk Advisor, responsible for implementing security controls framework and managing global regulatory compliance initiatives. Before Cargill, Heather held several positions at Seagate Technology, including Director of Global Information Protection and Americas Security, where they created and led Intellectual Property Protection Program, owned information protection policies and processes, and implemented safeguard measures. Heather also served as Director of Supply Chain Security and Fraud Mitigation, driving a significant reduction in warranty fraud. Earlier in their career, Heather worked as a Senior Project Manager at UnitedHealth Group, a Project Manager at Digital River, and held consultant roles at HT Technology Consulting, Cotelligent, and MCI Systemhouse. Overall, Heather Tietz possesses extensive expertise in data privacy, information protection, and security, with a proven track record in developing and implementing effective strategies and frameworks.

Heather Tietz holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Iowa. In 2017, they obtained a certification in CISSP from ISC2.
