Jerry Hermann

Jerry Hermann has extensive work experience in the field of environmental health and safety. Jerry currently holds the position of Sr. Director, Global Environmental Health and Safety at Donaldson since 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Oshkosh Corporation as the Director of Safety & Security for the Commercial Segment from 2015 to 2020. At Oshkosh, they revitalized the comprehensive safety management system (SMS) and transformed the safety team and culture. Jerry also introduced capital improvements, enhanced training, and updated processes to promote safety.

Jerry has also served in the Air National Guard as a Logistics Readiness Officer from 1998 to 2019. Jerry was personally selected for this role by the Chief of Staff. Additionally, they worked at Nestlé Health Science as the Safety, Health, and Environmental Manager from 2014 to 2015. During their tenure, they built and rolled out a safety program companywide and created an employee engagement program to boost participation in safety and compliance initiatives.

Furthermore, Jerry worked at Cummins NPower as the Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager from 2008 to 2014. Jerry developed the company's HSE Management System, implemented a safety program across multiple locations, and successfully reduced the incident rate and workers' compensation expenses. Prior to this, they held the position of Safety Engineer at Donaldson from 2005 to 2008, where they managed and mentored plant safety personnel. Jerry also gained experience as an Industrial Hygiene Investigator at the State of Minnesota's OSHA division from 2003 to 2005.

Jerry Hermann holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Environmental Science/Industrial Hygiene from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Jerry also obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Community (Public) Health from Mankato State University, Mankato.
