Patricia Ignacio-de Leon

Principal Scientist at Donaldson

Patricia Ignacio-de Leon has extensive work experience in the field of materials chemistry and research. Patricia currently holds the position of Principal Scientist at Donaldson, where they have been working since March 2019. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Institute Fellow at the Northwestern Argonne Institute of Science and Engineering from January 2018 to February 2019. Patricia also worked at Argonne National Laboratory for a number of years, where they held various roles including Materials Chemist and Assistant Materials Chemist. Their responsibilities at Argonne included designing and implementing research projects focused on nanoadsorbents and lithium nanorods for applications in separations, purification, and battery technology. Before joining Argonne, Patricia served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Northwestern University and as a Research Assistant at the University of Utah. Patricia started their career as an Instructor at the University of the Philippines.

Patricia Ignacio-de Leon completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at the University of the Philippines from 1999 to 2003. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Chemistry at the University of Utah, which they achieved from 2007 to 2012.
