Evan Wood

Evan Wood is a seasoned educator and photographer with a robust background in higher education and fine art. Currently serving as the HE Curriculum Leader and Course Leader for the BA Hons Fine Art Practice at Barnsley College since October 2015, Evan also holds a long-term position as Programme Leader for HND Photography at Doncaster College, where responsibilities include contextual and cultural referencing, darkroom practices, and programme development. Additionally, Evan has maintained an artistic practice as a photographer since January 2004, finding inspiration in the photographic process. Previous roles include Photography Lecturer at Chesterfield College and Photography Technician at West Nottinghamshire College. Evan’s academic qualifications encompass a BA Honours in Photography from The Glasgow School of Art, a Master of Arts from De Montfort University, a Postgraduate Degree in Education from the University of Hull, and a current pursuit of a Doctor of Philosophy in Art as Teaching Practice at the University of Sunderland.
