Rosita Mahony

Rosita Mahony has extensive experience in economic development and project management, currently serving as an Administrative Officer and Senior Economic Development Officer at Donegal County Council since February 2004. In these roles, Rosita focuses on maximizing economic opportunities for Donegal, manages the EU Programmes to harness funding for various community benefits, and oversees the transnational ASCENT project aimed at addressing environmental challenges. Previous experience includes serving as the GIS & Research Coordinator for SPACEial NW and Research & Policy Officer with GIS at the Association for Geographic Information, where advocacy for geographic information was emphasized. Rosita began as a GIS Consultant at NEWGROVE CONSULTANTS LIMITED and holds a Master's Degree in Geographical Information Systems and an Honours Bachelor's Degree in Geography from Ulster University, along with recognition on the Dean's List at Davis and Elkins College.
