Eric Schaffnit is an accomplished insurance professional with extensive experience in personal lines underwriting and management. Currently serving as AVP Personal Lines Underwriting at Donegal Insurance Group since May 2010, Eric provides leadership and direction to the underwriting staff while ensuring high-quality service to independent agents. Previously, at Westfield Group, Eric held multiple managerial roles where significant achievements included launching the Defender personal auto product in Pennsylvania and achieving profitability with a combined loss ratio of 97 over six years. Eric began their career at Personal Service Insurance Co as a Commercial and Personal Lines Underwriter, leading initiatives that improved efficiency and customer satisfaction. Eric holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Miami University.
