Eun-Ju Ryu

Eun-Ju Ryu has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Eun-Ju began their career in 1991 at Bukwang Pharmaceutical, where they worked as the KFDA/government relation manager and regulatory manager for medicines, consumer products, and cosmetics. Eun-Ju then moved on to roles at Wyeth Korea, Bayer Korea, and Lilly Korea, where they served as the clinical trial management team lead.

In 2001, Eun-Ju joined Pfizer and held various positions, including global director of management consulting strategy and operation. Eun-Ju led the development of Next Generation Knowledge Management system projects and provided strategic and operational support for business operations and consulting projects. Eun-Ju also served as the global commercial lead for the Rare Disease Business Unit and Biosimilars Business Unit, where they developed global portfolio strategies and led multinational meetings.

Eun-Ju later joined the Korean Community Center (KCC) in 2018 as the chief executive officer. In this role, they managed the organization to achieve operational excellence and long-term strategic goals, developed financial goals, and led fundraising efforts.

Eun-Ju then transitioned to roles at Access Bio, Inc as the chief business development officer, Samyang Biopharm USA as the president, and KOR.US communication consulting as the principal consultant and certified medical interpreter.

Eun-Ju's most recent position is at Dong-A Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd, where they serve as the COO of Dong-A America Co. and head of Open Innovation at Dong-A ST USA.

Throughout their career, Eun-Ju has gained extensive experience in various areas such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, consulting, and nonprofit management. Eun-Ju has demonstrated strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive growth and innovation in organizations.

Eun-Ju Ryu completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from Ewha Womans University in 1991. Eun-Ju then pursued a Master of Science degree in Clinical Pharmacy from Sookmyung Women's University. Later, in 2014, they obtained an MBA degree from NYU Stern School of Business. Eun-Ju Ryu is also certified as a Korean Pharmacist by the Association of Korean Pharmacists.
