Prior to that, they held the position of CFO / Senior Vice President at DONG Energy Distribution & Customer Solutions and Senior Vice President, CFO at DONG Energy Customers & Markets. Mikael also worked at Ørsted as the CFO & Senior Vice President of Ørsted Bioenergy and Ørsted Business Services. Additionally, they served as the CFO / Økonomidirektør at DONG Energy Power A/S and Finance Director at Arriva Skandinavien A/S. Mikael started their career as an Økonomidirektør at ABB and a Statsaut. revisor at KPMG. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Vice President & CEO of Ørsted Renescience, Ørsted Infrastructure Assets, and Ørsted Business Services at Ørsted A/S.

Mikael Brandt obtained their HD Regnskabsvæsen degree from Odense Universitet from 1985 to 1989. Mikael then pursued their degree in Cand merc Aud from Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark, which they completed from 1989 to 1995. Lastly, they attended Erhvervsministeriet from 1996 to 1998 where they obtained their Statsautoriseret revisor degree.
