Jim Kao

Jim Kao, CPA has a diverse professional background in finance and accounting. Jim is currently employed at DonorsChoose as the VP of Finance and Accounting, a position they have held since December 2022. Prior to this role, Jim worked as the Controller at DonorsChoose from March 2020 to December 2022.

From 2018 to 2020, Jim was the Head of Internal Audit at Oscar Health.

Before joining Oscar Health, Jim spent six years at PwC as a Risk Assurance Manager from July 2012 to November 2018.

Jim Kao, CPA has a diverse education history. Jim holds a Master of Accountancy degree from the University of Georgia - Terry College of Business, with a focus on Accounting. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from The University of Georgia. In addition, they also obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in Accounting from the University of Georgia - Terry College of Business.
