Oliver Hurst-Hiller

Oliver Hurst-Hiller is currently the CTO and Head of Product at DonorsChoose, a position they have held since June 2019. Prior to that, they were an Advisor at Benevity from February 2016 to June 2019. In this role, they advised the global leader in online workplace giving, matching, volunteering, and grant management solutions. Customers included Apple, Coca-Cola, Samsung, Google, Prudential, Microsoft, Honda, Cargill, and SAP. Benevity has delivered over $2B in donations worldwide and is a registered B Corp.

From October 2013 to April 2016, Hurst-Hiller was the Co-Chair of the Technology Partner Network at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. In this role, they were responsible for advising the Foundation on technology partnerships that could further their mission.

Hurst-Hiller has also served as a Mentor in the Executive M.S. in Technology Management program at Columbia University from February 2016 to October 2019. In this role, they provided one-on-one mentorship to M.S. candidates, helping them develop a strategic mindset, fine-tune speaking and presentation skills, understand core business functions, and drive enhanced business performance through the use of technology.

Oliver Hurst-Hiller attended Brown University, where they studied computer science. Oliver then attended Hunter College High School.

Oliver Hurst-Hiller reports to Alix Guerrier, CEO. Some direct reports include John Choi - Looker Analyst, Andrew Gaun - Senior Engineer, and Sebastian Askenazy - Staff Engineer. Oliver Hurst-Hiller works with Geoff Hill - CFO & EVP, Fulfillment, Tim Sommer - MD, Partnerships, and Julia Prieto - COO & EVP, People Operations.
