Karen Ong

Karen Ong has a diverse range of work experience spanning over 20 years. Karen is currently working as a Project Administrator at Doosan GridTech since March 2020. Previously, they worked as a Procurement Coordinator at Vellocet Clean Energy Pty Ltd from May to August 2019, where they sourced suppliers for various projects and negotiated prices.

Prior to that, Karen served as an Executive Assistant at Sandfair Pty Ltd from January to December 2018, providing administrative support and assisting in project development activities. From 2013 to 2015, they worked as a Tendering Coordinator at KNM Process Equipment Inc., where they prepared and coordinated tenders and proposals for power and renewable energy projects.

One of their previous roles was at Alstom Power, where they had various responsibilities. From 2007 to 2013, they served as a Project Engineer Outage, managing overhauls and outages of power plants. Additionally, from 2001 to 2007, they worked as a Costing Engineer, responsible for tender estimation and submission for power plant projects in the Asia Pacific region.

Karen's earlier experiences include working as a Project Engineer at Impian Tekad Sdn Bhd from 2000 to 2001 and as a Mechanical Engineer at KTA Tenaga Sdn Bhd from 1998 to 1999.

Karen Ong obtained their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Monash University. Karen attended the university from 1994 to 1997, dedicating three years to their studies in this field.
