Susan Cordova Rose

Susan Cordova Rose has a diverse work experience that spans across various industries and roles. Susan started their career as a Junior Loan Processor at Emerald Home Loan, where they reviewed loan packages and facilitated communication between borrowers and lenders. Susan then worked as a Loan Coordinator at Ameriquest Mortgage Company, where they handled underwriting and processing for multiple residential loans per month.

After that, Susan joined ECCU as a Commercial Loan Analyst, managing the credit union portfolio and providing risk assessments to partner organizations. Susan also developed an electronic loan checklist to improve communication and reduce late loan fundings.

Susan's passion for education led their to work at JOYA Scholars as a Grant Writing Intern, where they wrote grant requests and developed fundraising strategies. Susan also served as a Teaching Assistant at the University of California, Riverside, where they created lesson plans and fostered a safe environment for creative writing and discussions. As a Gluck Fellow at the university, they received recognition for their outstanding performance and positive student evaluations.

In the nonprofit sector, Susan served as the Board Treasurer and Business Advisor at Abeni, Inc. Susan managed all financial activities, prepared accounting records and financial reports, and provided financial advice to the board. Susan also played a key role in establishing Abeni's mission, vision, and 501(c)3 status.

Susan continued their involvement in the nonprofit sector at New Heart CC, where they served as the Board Treasurer. In this role, they managed the organization's financial activities from 2016 to 2018.

Susan's most recent position was as the Vice President of Content Operations at Dooya Media Group, Inc. Susan streamlined operations for over 50 content providers and built and managed teams to enhance operational efficiency. Susan also continuously updated content and processes in line with platform requirements.

Susan Cordova Rose began their education journey in 2013, attending Vanguard University of Southern California. Susan pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business, completing their studies in 2015. Moving forward, they enrolled at the University of California, Riverside in 2017 and earned a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Creative Writing in 2019. In their pursuit of further knowledge and skills, they enrolled at Cypress College in 2022 and is expected to complete an Aviation Certificate IV, specializing in Aeronautics/Aviation/Aerospace Science and Technology, General, by 2024.

In addition to their formal education, Susan holds specific certifications to enhance their expertise. Susan has obtained a Private Pilot Certification as a student through the Federal Aviation Administration.
